Question:  If it takes Sarah 12 minutes to saw a pole into three pieces, how long would it take her to saw a pole into 5 pieces?

Predict: I predict this will be about multiplication and division problems.

Clarify: I have nothing to clarify.

Find the big question: the big question is how many minutes will it take for Sarah to saw  a pole into 5 pieces.

Solution: find out how many minutes it took Sarah to saw a pole into one piece which was four minutes and then times four by the amount of cuts through the wood Sarah did and the answer is 20 minutes.

Summary:  I did this by using my multiplication skills and also my knowledge of using division.
